The holiday region

Holiday region Gitschberg Jochtal

Holiday region Gitschberg Jochtal

Where North of Bressanone the Pusteria and Isarco Valley meet, our South Tyrolean holiday region Gitschberg Jochtal stretches. If you come down the Brenner motorway from the North, you will see firstly the powerful Fortezza and just a few kilometers later you will reach the branch with our beautiful ski and alpine area. The region Gitschberg Jochtal covers a whole range of neat mountain villages such as Valles, Maranza, Fundres or Rodengo. Our hotel abis – Dolomites lays at Valles, in the famous Valsertal, as a fraction of Rio Pusteria, the access to Pusteria valley and center of the region.

An excellent mix

For skiers the region Gitschberg Jochtal is a paradise, but also alkers will have their bright joy with us. Scenic trails, mountain chalets and secluded valley passes attract many summer excursions – in winter our ski slopes, which are almost like a secret, attract visitors. In addition to that our region, thanks to its location, is ideal for visits to all the varied attractions of South Tyrol. Panoramic platforms, a mysterious mountain village of long ago, Rodengo Castle or the Fundres mountain farms are just some of the many scenic attractions. For shopping or a coffee break Rio Pusteria is the right place. Its medieval charm with the family coat of arms on the walls quaint residences will cast a spell on you.

Good connection

The Baroque jewel of Bressanone is not far away. And Brunico, Bolzano and Merano are interesting destinations for a profitable day trip. Due to the good transport links they are easily reached. Here with us at Valles you can also live without your car. Mountain bike, bus or cable car will take you to the destination of your choice. And do not forget – it is vacation and you have time. Namely, the most beautiful of the year!
