The pleasure of slowing down

Around Valles we have many trails for shorter and wider sweeping snowshoe tours. Did you already have experience as snow-goers? If not, we suggest you to try it once with a two or three hour hikes and to increase very gradually. Snowshoeing has nothing to do with a record hunt. You will stop the time and see the magic of nature with all-new eye – including magnificent views down from our alpine huts. For these higher-settled tours use the cable car. If you should start snowshoeing in Valles spontaneously and without preparation, you can always hire the best snowshoes on-site.

Cross-country ski passion

You can enjoy the almost mystical silence of the resting mountains also by cross-country skiing. Leave your trail in the powder snow and do not look at the clock. The sound of the fine snow dust whirled by you, the sparkle of the crystals, the fresh energy of each movement are priceless. In Valsertal we have four cross-country ski trails and an eight-mile loop trail for all genuine enthusiasts.

Our suggestion: wonderful ski-tours

Ski tours are currently in vogue and also the Gitschberg-Jochtal has the best position. Twice a week, ski tour lovers can start for a ski tour in the evening, for this purpose a runway is always open in the evening Tuesdays at Valles and Thursdays at Maranza. At Gitschberg ski tourers find even an extra signposted path away from the slopes, to go up to the mountain, the descent to home takes place on the ski-run. Who does not like to go alone to ski, there is a mountain guide with a very private ski tour waiting for him.
